I originally drew this as a line-drawing to get tattooed on my right arm, when a good friend who was pregnant at the time wrote to me letting me know that it looked like two parents with a new, glowing child, or else a mother’s knees during childbirth.

I painted this to hang in her child’s nursery, and now it’s a print! I hope that males or those without children can also relate to it, as a canyon is a place of being held, and of surrendering to the way of life.
