I’ve developed a strange fascination with mollusks lately and think about them a lot. Recently I flipped my kayak into a shallow oyster bed when trying to have a look-see and shredded my legs, but I feel kind of honored to be wounded by them. Did you know oysters have a foot that they use to move around? And that many species of wild ones are really close to being wiped out?
