The Day Gate was designed along with The Night Gate to be symbolically appropriate to flank a doorway or threshold in the home for balance. As reminders for reception and action, inner and outer work. Entropy, negentropy. Refraction, reflection.

The Day Gate reminds us of change. That it will come with or without our efforts, desires, or fears. It tells of the passing of time, cascading down the body of our lives ceaselessly. We are asked never to forget beauty, to move toward what makes us feel lighter and leaves us open to receiving blessings, though grasping at such blessings pops them like bubbles out of existence.

The Night Gate reminds us of chance. The dance of light through the infinite dark halls of our being. In the depths we see how nothing can be planned or controlled, and we surrender to the full realization of the infinitude of time and space, and so the finitude of our existence.
