“I’VE BEEN GOING TO HALLIE FOR TAROT READINGS FOR YEARS, AND EACH TIME THERE’S SOMETHING REVEALED THAT I’D BEEN HIDING FROM MYSELF THAT TURNS OUT TO BE LIFE-CHANGING. SHE MAKES SPACE FOR SELF-DISCOVERY, WHILE ALSO GIVING INPUT WHEN IT’S WARRANTED.” -ERIN

MY APPROACH
I have been studying the tarot, giving readings, and working on the creation of the Tall Grass Tarot Deck and accompanying book (TBA) since 2015, after being introduced to it by astounding tarologist, musician, post-production sound extraordinaire, artist, and friend Jess Morgan.
My readings are informed by:
Engagement with tarot-specific books as well as my study of various symbolic systems and archetypes'
Added context and low refinement and expansion of symbolic meanings of the cards provided from each reading I’ve ever given whether for myself or others.
Engagement with various psychological, philosophical, and metaphorical content of all mediums
Personal experiences, observations, and intuition
Mysterious, spontaneous factors that I’m wary yet obliged to include
First and foremost I would like to say that I don't necessarily view the tarot as a divinatory device.
While there is an undeniable tendency for the conversation—supported by image and intuition—to allow us to see how this trajectory or that is likely to play out, I will not tell you definitively what is going to happen for you or to you during a reading. I view the tarot primarily as a therapeutic tool, useful for putting you in touch with yourself, seeing potential obstacles as well as what you have going for you to help you along your way.
The tarot is a brilliant conversation facilitator. Images prompt me to ask you the right questions, and you may be surprised at the clarity you already possess. We can then work together to place your answers in context.
It is a useful container for lives that can feel too complex to talk about. A reading can give your mind a log to hold onto in the river of life, an object of meditation, something to set yourself to for the time being. It is also fun.
Most often, the outcome of a reading is you being more in touch with what you already know, whether what you know on some level hasn't bubbled at all to the surface of your consciousness yet, or you know it consciously and just need to grab hold of reality more firmly—shifting your perspective, waiting for clarity, or taking decisive action.
